Stage 1: During the initial phase of operation, the fire pit’s body temperature may not be high enough to trigger secondary combustion, resulting in some smoke. This is due to the design of the furnace. The smoke will decrease significantly and eventually disappear once secondary combustion begins. This occurs when the furnace reaches the required temperature, allowing hot air to circulate between the inner and outer layers. This process forces hot air through the furnace holes, re-burning the smoke to eliminate it.Stage 2: During the combustion process, the central area (highlighted in red) is crucial for secondary combustion. When this area is undisturbed, the smoke is completely burned off. However, disturbances such as wind or accessories can cause black smoke to escape.Additionally, the rate at which the fire pit heats up depends on the size of the fire and the quantity of wood. The delayed disappearance of smoke is due to insufficient fuel, which prevents the furnace from reaching optimal temperatures for efficient combustion.

When a fire pit is burning, you should not touch it. You should wait for at least an hour before handling it with your bare hands after the flames have gone out. Alternatively look at accessories - Heat Shield
Three to four logs of wood should suffice, and you should add more logs as needed after the initial three to four have burned. For the most effective burn, your wood must be towards the inside walls of the fire pits.

Do NOT use chemically treated wood, particle boards as well as accelerants in your fire pit, as it the fumes can damage your lungs and it is unsafe.
The best wood to use is Dry Bluegum or any other hard wood - under 18% moisture.

Stainless steel changes color after reaching a certain temperature. The top sections of the fire pit will turn gold-bronze color and some of the ring segments might turn blue or purple due to the temperature. This is absolutely normal and we feel that it gives it character, we call this occurence the "Rings of Fire" , which is a natural and lovely occurrence.
To get to the original shine of your fire pit, a soft cloth with Stainless Steel polish spray is to be used, which restores it to its former glory.
Using our grill accessory you can cook simple foods when the flames subside. Another option is using a cast iron sandwich maker for heating up sandwiches over the open flames.
Once you have selected your firewood of choice you will need to ensure that it is well seasoned, meaning very dry, usually this is done by sun or kiln drying. To be safe - try purchase your firewood 1 year or at least 6 months in advance and preferably from a reputable wood supplier.
The difference is in the size of the Fire Pit, where the Eros measures 50cm in diameter, the Apollo measures 67cm in diameter. While the Eros is ideal for groups of 4-6, providing a cozy, smoke-free centerpiece for any outdoor space. The Apollo has been made for spacious enough for group gatherings of 8-10 people, while still being easy to move when needed.

Keeping it covered under a roof is a good idea to protect it from the elements. You can purchase an all-weather cover for your Helios fire upon check-out. If you anticipate particularly harsh weather, bringing it indoors will help prevent any potential damage. Just make sure it's completely cool and dry before storing it!
Ensure that your Helios Fire is cool to the touch after the fire has burned out. In that case, empty the ashes by removing the ash pan and tilting it to the side to removed the ash inside of the ash pan. In case you are not able to do this, you may also eliminate the ash by using a shop vacuum!
